Tele2 began to transfer the remaining package tariffs to the next month

The federal mobile operator Tele2 began transferring unused SMS, minutes of calls and gigabytes of Internet traffic to the next month. The new function is already working for all subscribers who use tariff packages of the “Black” line. This became known during the “Other Rules” press conference in Moscow.

“Now many subscribers prefer package tariffs, which include a certain number of minutes, gigabytes of Internet traffic and SMS. And we thought: “Do our clients use the entire volume of the services that we provide on this or that tariff plan?” - said Tele2 Deputy General Director for Marketing, Product and Work with Federal Clients Andrey Patoka.

According to him, about 80% of subscribers use only one-fifth of all minutes of calls and SMS, which are included in the Black line packages. And almost all users do not have time to fully use up their Internet traffic. Therefore, since January 26, Tele2 has provided all subscribers with the opportunity to transfer unspent balances to the next month. The function is activated automatically and does not require additional financial costs. You just need to top up your balance on time.

According to Tele2 CEO Sergei Emdin, “Transfer of balances” was the first step in the development of a new strategy. In general, the operator intends to refuse to copy competitors' tariffs and plans to create unique products for each subscriber segment. Traditionally at a very competitive price.

"In today's market, simply having an affordable price is not as interesting as it used to be; mobile prices in Russia are too low, and people want to see innovation. Tele2's strategic goal is for our customers to constantly receive impulses of positive emotions thanks to this kind of useful innovations, such as “Residue Transfer,” Emdin said.

Tele2 also continues to develop digital and partner services and offer subscribers new services in the financial sector. At the briefing, company representatives presented one of the latest innovations - a bank card, which was issued jointly with Touch Bank. Its service costs the operator’s clients less than standard bank tariffs, and when paying for Tele2 services, a 10% cashback is returned to it. At the same time, the company plans to connect a number of other large financial organizations to this project in the future so that the subscriber has a choice.

“We don’t want to make a Tele2 card - we plan to invite a wide range of financial organizations for cooperation, among which our clients will be able to choose those that best meet their needs,” Patoka noted.

“Other rules” is not only the name of the new communication platform, but also the updated slogan of Tele2. At the same time, the operator plans to change the website design and expand the palette of the brand’s corporate colors.

“The color black remains with us, but we have added a palette of bright accents. We also bring bright images into our communication - black and white photographs with real people and bright emotions,” said the operator’s marketing director Inna Pokhodnya.

“It is very important that everything is simple and honest. This is the DNA of the company, and we are not going to confuse our subscribers with asterisks or complex conditions. All our proposals were, are and will be extremely simple and transparent,” summed up Sergei Emdin.
